📢 Policy Update — August 10, 2026: The White House issued an Executive Order on Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations, establishing three federal recommendation categories: (1) Recommended for all children — MMR, DTaP, polio, Hib, pneumococcal, HPV, varicella; (2) Recommended for certain high-risk groups/populations — RSV monoclonal antibodies, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, meningococcal B, meningococcal ACWY, dengue; (3) Based on shared clinical decision-making — hepatitis A, hepatitis B, rotavirus, meningococcal disease, influenza, COVID-19. The EO also expresses preference for separate single-disease shots (beginning with MMR) and separate medical visits for childhood immunizations, and directs an HHS Task Force on Safer Childhood Vaccines to report within 90 days.
